Canada-based Lions Club donates 500 specs to Bharatpur Eye Hospital

CHITWAN: Leaside Centennial Lions Club based in Toronto city of Canada provided 500 spectacles to Bharatpur Eye Hospital.

At a programme organised at the hospital today, the Club's founding Chairperson, Tulsi Dharel, handed over the glasses worth around Rs 400,000 to President of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh Chitwan, Krishna Raj Dharel, Chairperson of Bharatpur Eye Hospital's Board of Directors, Chij Kumar Maskey, and Medical Director Prof Dr Raghunandan Benju.

Founding chairperson of Leo Club of Narayangadh, Tulsi Dharel pledged to provide further possible support to the Eye Hospital.

Similarly, Chairman Maskey said the spectacles received would be provided to the persons in need and helpless eye patients.
