‘Change in education system a must’

Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today said it was necessary to change the education system of the country.

At a programme organised to hand over the newly constructed school building of Aadhunik Secondary School in Hetauda today, CM Poudel said that today’s education should be techno-friendly and skill-oriented. He said that unemployment had increased due to lack of practical education system.

CM Poudel said the province government was serious regarding this. He said education sector must adopt information technology. “Teaching-learning activities should be conducted through technology,” he said.

Chief Minister Poudel said that attraction towards private schools would decrease gradually if government schools were equipped with information technology.

CM Poudel said community schools would meet the objectives of higher education only after bringing change in the current education system. He expressed sadness at the fact that teachers were not very professional in the country.
