Chhededaha festival kicked off in Chhededaha Lake of Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality, Bajura, on October 13.

Boats were operated for the first time in the lake during the festival. Most of the domestic tourists visiting the site took a boat ride in the lake. So far, over 1,500 visitors enjoyed boating in the lake. The festival was organised with the view of protecting the lake.

Two modern boats that were used for rafting in the Karnali River have been brought to the lake.

Premnath Yogi, a member of the Festival Organising Committee said they had brought the boats into operation to take the visitors around the lake.

Located near the Martadi-Thamkhel road section, Chhededaha Lake is the largest of its kind in the district. But due to lack of promotion, the lake has remained in shadow.
