PARSA: A four-year-old boy died from snakebite in Birgunj of Parsa district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Shyam Dulal, son of Dhruba Dulal, the resident of Dummarwana in Gadhimai Municipality in Bara district.

According to Parsa District Police Office, a snake bit the child at 1 am today while he was asleep in his house. The wounded child was rushed to Narayani Sub-Zonal Hospital where he breathed his last.

Lately, the cases of snakebites in the districts of Tarai like Bara, Parsa, Saptari among others are significantly rising.
