CHITWAN: A 10-year-old child died after being hit by a passenger bus in Birendranagar of Chitwan on Sunday evening.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 7781) en route to Narayangadh of Chitwan from Hetaunda of Makawanpur had hit Jyoti Singh from Birendranagar-2 of the district along the East-West Highway this evening.

Seriously injured in the incident, the girl was rushed to Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences, where she breathed her last during treatment, according to police.
