CM Bhatta pays surprise visit to Transport Management Office

DHANGADHI: Province 7 Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta has paid a surprise visit to Transport Management Office in Kailali district on Monday.

Chief Minister Bhatta took this step following the complaints from service seekers. The Chief Minister reached the office while the service seekers were waiting in three queues to submit forms for written examination.

The service seekers said that they have faced hassles while acquiring vehicle license after CM Bhatta inquired about the quality of service with the service seekers.

After speaking with the service seekers, the CM called on the office employees including Office Head and directed them to provide efficient service as fixed by the government.

Chief Minister Bhatta said that he paid the visit to the office after receiving complaints from the service seekers and warned the government officials of stern measures if they indulge in corruption and inept service delivery.

The Chief Minister visited the office in line with increasing complaints regarding corruption by civil servants while delivering services such as license distribution, renewal, road permits and checks.

However, the Transport Management Office Head Krishna Bhusal said that the staffers have been toiling day and night. “More than 50,000 service seekers have sat for written examinations since my arrival,” Bhusal said. “There is an issue of workspace and I request the Chief Minister to facilitate the services through offices in Dadeldhura and Doti too.”
