CPN Maoist Centre offers Rs 6 lakh to Govinda Gautam's family

KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN Maoist Centre has provided Rs 600,000 to the family of martyr Govinda Gautam on Thursday.

Gautam was killed in a scuffle between the Nepali nationals and Indian Sashastra Seema Bal personnel at Ananda Bazaar over the issue of construction of a culvert in Punarbas of Kanchanpur district on March 9.

Gautam's wife Laxmi Gautam received the amount from the party's local leaders in Kanchanpur this morning, informed the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Based on the proposal of PM and party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the party's Central Office had made the decision to support his family economically.
