SIRAHA: CPN-MC has won in Karjanha Municipality, Siraha. CPN-MC’s  Ganga Pasawan secured 4,309 votes against CPN-UML’s Ram Dayal Mahato’s  3,090 votes for the post of mayor.

The party’s Gyanu Kumar Shrestha defeated her close contender Anju Rai of UML to claim the post of deputy mayor. As for the wards, the party has won ward chairperson  posts in nine wards except in Wards No 2 and 6.

Karjanha has a total of  11 wards.
