UML ahead with 52,000 vote margin in PR

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML is ahead with a margin of around 52,000 votes in the ballot count of Proportional Representation (PR) of the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies held on November 26 and December 7.

According to the Election Commission's Information Management System, CPN-UML has received 3,112,747 votes followed by Nepali Congress' 3,060,850 votes and CPN Maoist Centre's 1,273,000 votes. Likewise, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal obtained 459,071 votes while Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal got 447629 votes.

Similarly, Bibeksheel Saajha Party has garnered 219,493 and Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 193,872 votes.

Now the vote count of Sunsari and Sarlahi is underway.
