UML CC member Mahin Limbu no more

KATHMANDU: Lawmaker and CPN-UML Central Committee member Mahin Limbu died of cancer on Saturday night.

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, reached Dhankuta and paid his final tribute to Limbu. Chairman Oli also draped party's flag over her body.

Issuing a condolence message today, the party General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel said that with Limbu's untimely demise, not only the party had lost an experienced and disciplined leader but also people had lost a good guardian.

Limbu's body would be cremated at Mulghat of Dhankuta district today itself.

She became UML District Committee member from 1996 to 2004 BS for three terms as well as became Koshi Zonal Coordination Committee member in 2005 BS.

Limbu was elected as central committee member from the ninth National General Convention of the party held in 2014 BS and became member of the Constituent Assembly under the proportional representation system in 2013 BS.

Born on March 24, 1958 in the then Budhimorang VDC-2 of Dhankuta, Limbu is survived by a husband, two sons and a daughter.
