UML holds mass meets in Bardiya, Kailali

KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML on Wednesday held mass assemblies in Rajapur of Bardiya and Tikapur of Kailali as parts of its Mechi-Mahakali National Campaign.

Meanwhile, the party would hold another mass meeting in Lamki Bazaar of Kailali district today itself, according to the party's Central Publicity Department.

Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam and Politburo member Nagendra Chaudhary addressed the Rajapur function whereas the leaders to speak in Tikapur were senior leader Jhalanath Khanal, Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal and advisor Hanuman Chaudhary.

In both the functions, the leaders claimed that their party was for unity among all Nepali people.

They also criticised the government, the ruling parties as well as the agitating Madhes-centric parties stating they failed to protect national unity and independence.
