DADELDHURA: A person died in a khukuri attack incident after a dispute about drinking water in Nwaghar, Koteli VDC-1 of Dadeldhura district on Sunday.

Members of the Dalit community and others had engaged in the clash over drinking water.

The deceased has been identified as Sher Bahadur Saud (36) of Koteli.

Saud was reportedly attacked by Bhim Bahadur Bhul (27), who belongs to the minority Dalit community in the village, informed the District Police Office.

There had often been water scarcity in the village since long; but it was the first time that the dispute resulted to a person's death, according to a local.
