Kathmandu, January 26

Chairman of Unified CPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal today told the ministers representing the party to carry out their responsibilities in an effective manner.

During a meeting of the standing committee of the party today, Chairman Dahal expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of ministers from his party.

Dahal had invited ministers representing the party to the standing committee meeting to discuss the activities being carried out by their respective ministries.

According to Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Home Minister Shakti Basnet had briefed the meeting on the works carried out by their respective ministries.

He said the briefing from other ministers would continue during tomorrow’s meeting as well.

Pokhrel said the meeting focused on ways to make the government’s work more effective.
