Dahal vows to open Nepal-China Nakchenagla border

JUMLA: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to propose the Chinese side to open the Nepal-China Nakchenagla border point during his upcoming visit to China.

Addressing the party's mass meeting at Narakot of Sinja in Jumla district on Friday, leader Dahal insisted on the opening of the Nakchenangla point for the development of Karnali region.

The leader of the ruling coalition partner further assured that the government would make initiatives to promote Khas art, culture and civilisation originated in Karnali.

The incumbent government would not change immediately, he claimed.

Instead, the Nepali Congress would be involved to transform it into the national government, he argued and vowed to do something for the relief of the Karnali folks hit by the drought.
