Dang will be made centre of Province 5: NCP (NCP) Co-Chair Dahal

GHORAHI: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal said Dang would be the centre of Province 5.

Addressing a press meet organised by Press Organization in Ghorahi today, Dahal noted that Dang is a suitable place for a State centre, based on evaluation of its geography, economy and the latest development trend. He argued that the political, educational, health and development infrastructure status of Dang have prepared the basis for it to be not only the centre of the province but also of the whole country.

The NCP (NCP) co-chair interpreted that the new appointment of chiefs of provinces by the government a few days back was normal. "The government had allowed the former province chiefs to work for two years with flexibility. Otherwise, they could have been relieved of their posts much earlier. They were allowed to work for some time out of a sense of cooperation with all," he explained.

He said he has come to Dang to urge the party leaders and cadres to work towards making the by-elections successful.

Dahal arrived in Dang to participate in the party cadres' training programme to be organised by the NCP (NCP), Dang Chapter in Tulsipur today.

Former Speaker and party leader Onsari Gharti and Chief Minister of Province 5 Shanker Pokharel have also arrived here to participate in the programme, NCP (NCP) Dang district in-charge Jeevan Gautam said.
