Death toll in Darchula jeep accident jumps to 3

BAITADI: After police recovered one more body, the death toll in Darchula jeep accident has jumped to three.

The body of Bimal Budathoki (25), a resident of Rapla, was recovered on Wednesday, according to Chief of the District Police Office Sushil Singh Rathour.

The body was found five kilometers below the accident site.

The accident took place when a passenger jeep believed to be carrying six persons met with an accident and fell into the Mahakali River on Tuesday.

The jeep (Ma 1 Ja 140) was heading to district headquarters Khalanga from Dhap of Api Municipality when the incident occurred.

Three others are still missing.

Police are searching for the missing persons.
