Democracy with monarchy need of hour: RPP chair

Pokhara, August 10

Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Kamal Thapa on Friday said that democracy with monarchy was the need of the hour in the country.

Inaugurating RPP Gandaki Province office in Pokhara, Thapa held that current political circumstances had led people to aspire for democracy with the monarchy.

“RPP is a party with a different ideology and identity. RPP has embraced nationality, democracy, Hindu state and liberal economic policy as its philosophy,” Thapa added.

Thapa claimed that his party would take his party’s ideology and vision to all 753 local levels and establish his party as a potent political force in four years. He argued that his party would have to win the heart of the people.

Thapa accused the incumbent government of failing to keep its promises of prosperity, development and good governance. “People’s dissatisfaction towards the government has been growing,” he stated.

Thapa said that his party had to meet unexpected result in the elections held last year due to its own weaknesses.
