Detained SSB men freed

Thirteen personnel of India’s Seema Surakshya Bal who had entered Nepal with arms today morning were released seven hours after they were detained by APF in Jhapa.

A team of APF personnel from APF Border Security Force Kechana Base Camp had arrested SSB personnel in Kechana of jhapa.

Nepali Congress Jhapa Area No 3 President Khadga Bahadur Limbu said the SSB personnel had entered Nepal on the pretext of chasing betel nut smugglers.

Terrorised locals had informed the APF immediately after SSB showed weapons to them.

Local security chiefs led by Jhapa DAO had made a field visit of Kechana.
