Khotang, April 23

Province 1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai today said that development and prosperity were the only missions of the incumbent government.

Speaking to mediapersons at a press meet jointly organised by Press Chautari and Press Centre in Diktel of Khotang today, CM Rai said the country was spearheading towards development and prosperity after successfully holding elections and drafting the constitution. “The country has entered a new era and new course. Hence, it is focused only on development and prosperity,” said Minister Rai.

He urged all the people to support the government to achieve its goals. “As the country has got a stable and strong government, it is high time the country witnesses concrete achievements,” he said.

Chief Minister Rai said that they were preparing concrete plans by keeping agriculture, tourism, water sources and industries as top priorities for substantial development of Province 1. He also clarified that they would finalise the name of the province and capital through consensus.

“As all the senior leaders of the CPN-UML and CPN-MC were holding intensive discussion on unification, nobody could derail the parties from their unification move,” said CM Rai.
