CPN-Maoist Centre leader Prabhu Sah today said that development in the country was not possible without changing the old modus operandi.

Addressing a Rautahat District Development Committee Level review meeting in Rajbiraj, Sah said, “Development can be achieved only if government employees, local party leaders and cadres show commitment.”

He expressed displeasure over political influence and interference in development projects in the district.

“The allocated budget for various projects can be utilised to the fullest only if political party leaders and their cadres carry out the development work with utmost honesty and determination,” Sah added.

Stating that he had constructed nine-kilometre-long road to connect four villages of Constituency No 3, Sah said the road was built as a model from his personal investment and without a single penny from government sources.

On the occasion, Rautahat Chief District Officer of Rautahat Narhari Baral pledged to  implement effective and efficient service delivery from government offices and carry out development works with utmost honesty and sincerity from this fiscal year.
