Discussion on NCP (NCP) district chair begins

With the process under way to unify the then CPN-UML and then CPN-Maoist Centre at the district level, a discussion on choosing possible candidate to lead the united party in Panchthar district started today.

The then CPN-UML’s chairman Raj Kumar Bhandari and then CPN-Maoist Centre’s district in-charge Harka Bahadu rNembang are seen as possible candidates for the post of party chairman in the district.

Bhandari has claimed the post of district leader on the ground of leading the party at the district level for a long time.

Nembang’’s claim, however, is not weak. Other leaders have also started claiming the post.

The discussion on the party leadership in the district began after Nepal Communist Party (NCP) central member Aindra Sundar Nembang called both Bhandari and Nembang to Kathmandu for discussion on the district leadership and the district committee.

Then Maoist leaders and cadres are hopeful that popular leader Nembang will bag the post of district chair.

Meanwhile, Then UML leaders cadres are optimistic about  Bhandari being selected as district chair of untied party.
