BHOJPUR: A person died on the spot after a truck ran over him on the premises of Cosmos Cement Factory in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-5 of Morang district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as the truck driver's assistant Subash Biswokarma of Hile in Dhankuta district. Biswokarma appeared to be in his mid-20s, said police.

The incident occurred after the truck (Na 4 Kha 1933) ran over Biswokarma while the vehicle was being moved forward, at around 10:00 pm yesterday, said police.

The heavy four-wheeler had arrived at the factory to pick up loads of cement.

Meanwhile, the truck driver is taken into custody at the Nimuwa-based Area Police Office for further investigation.
