RAJBIRAJ: Saptari police on Sunday made  two persons public who, police say, have confessed planting a bomb in an  office in Rajbiraj two weeks ago.

According to police, the arrestee Aditya Sharma (19) of Itahari Bishnupur Rural Municipality-7 and Mohammad Nashir ( 33) of Rupani Rural Municipality- 3 were arrested with a pistol on Saturday and confessed  planting a bomb in Land Survey office in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, Sharma was arrested from Rajbiraj- Chhinnamasta road section on Saturday night, said SP Anurag Dwivedi, adding Nasir was arrested from his hideout in a house in Rajbiraj-8.

Police recovered a pistol, two bullets, a mobile phone, 500 gm marijuana and pamphlets bearing the name of Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-G) led by Jaya Krishna Goit from them.

Further investigation into the duo's suspected involvement in other criminal activities is underway, added Dwivedi.
