NAWALPARASI: The Daunne section of the East-West Highway which has been inoperative time and again since Friday has again been obstructed in Nawalparasi district.

The road has been blocked as a minibus has got stuck in the middle of the muddy road, obstructing traffic since 2:00 am today, the District Police Office, Nawalparasi said.

Police said efforts are underway to resume traffic on the road by removing the minibus.

The road has been obstructed several times since Friday due to the deposition of landslide debris and caving in of the road.

Moreover, there is risk of occurring landslide at Daunne in case it rains, it has been reported.
