Ex-king Shah's health improving

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Kamal Thapa visited ailing former king Gyanendra Shah in the Norvic Hospital, Thapathali, on Thursday afternoon.

Shah was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning after complaining of heart problem.

During his visit, Thapa inquired about Shah's health condition with the doctors in the hospital, RPP Assistant General Secretary Rajaram Bartaula said.

Cardiologist Dr Yadav Dev Bhatta, involved in Shah's treatment, informed Chairman Thapa that Shah's health condition was improving after conducting the angioplasty.

The hospital said that Shah would be discharged on Friday.

Dr Shivaji Bikram Silwal, Dr Shekhar Rajbhandari, Dr Nagma Shrestha, Dr Santoshman Shrestha and Dr Kishor Jung Rana are in the team led by cardiologist Bhatta.
