Feasibility study begins to determine Province 3 capital

KATHMANDU: A feasibility study is being carried out to determine the capital of Province 3.

The capital of the province, which comprises 13 districts, would be determined only after taking into consideration various aspects including people's income, available means and resources, development, infrastructure construction, and administrative accessibility.

The feasibility study is being carried out in three cities of three districts — Bidur of Nuwakot, Bode of Bhaktapur and Banepa of Kavrepalanchok — as the Secretariat of the Capital Feasibility Study Special Committee has received proposals for the same.

The Special Committee was formed on April 27 comprising all political parties based in the province for feasibility study. The Committee would submit its report to the Province Assembly within one and a half months after carrying out discussions with the leaders.
