Fire at Rastriya Banijya Bank in Chitwan comes under control

CHITWAN: The building of Rastriya Banijya Bank caught fire in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 of Chitwan district today morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ek Narayan Koirala at Chitwan District Police Office (DPO), the two-storey building of the bank based in Chaubiskothi Chok had caught fire, at 7:40 am today.

The security personnel deployed from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, Bharatpur Metropolis fire engine with the help of locals doused the fire at 8:40 am.

The bank manager, Indra Mohan Neupane said it was yet to establish the cause of the fire that erupted from the ground floor.

It has been presumed that the electrical short-circuit may have caused the blaze.
