DANG: A group of five persons was arrested in possession of a dummy pistol and a knife from Baruwa village in Tulsipur of Dang district on Tuesday night.

The arrested have been identified as Shankar BK (17) of Purano Bus Park area in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-5; Ajaya Nepali (14), Suraj Nepali (15) and Raj KC (14) of Baruwa village-6;  and Santosh Nepali (20) of Trisiddheswori Temple area in Baruwa-5, informed Chief of Police Office Tulsipur and DSP Loknath Timsina.

The group was nabbed from Baruwa village after they were found under the alcoholic influence and also possessing a pistol alike lighter and a sharp knife at around 9:30 pm yesterday, shared the Tulsipur-based Area Police Office shared that.

Police suspected that all of them were teenagers. However, Santosh Nepali produced his identity card before police to verify that he was 20.

Meanwhile, police have called the guardians of the arrested teenagers for counseling their children, DSP Timsina said.
