KALIKOT: Four persons including three of the same family died in a landslide that occurred at Lalighat bazaar in remote Kalikot district on Thursday evening.

The deceased persons  have been identified as  Gorkhe Sikal BK (40), Ghan Sikal BK and Baskura Sikal BK (13) of Naraharinath Rural Municipality-1 and Bhawana Devkota of Sanne Tribeni Rural Municipality-3 in the district, according to Police Inspector Surya Bahadur Bogati.

The victims were reported to be a tea shop owner and clients.

Surendra Thapa, Police Head Constable in the Hulma-based temporary police post said that the rainfall was still on and the rescue operation was affected as the environmental hazard was yet to stop.
