Upendra Yadav says EU was right in pointing out the ruling ethnicity's reservation privilege

RAUTAHAT: Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav has suggested that issuing statements in haste will bring about serious consequences against Nepal citing the recent rejection of European Union’s report on Nepal elections by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Election Commission.

Furthermore, Yadav said that the EU was right to point out that if a the ruling ethnicity and class gets more reservations then the marginalized community and women would be left out.

Inaugurating a five day journalist training programme in Rautahat on Friday, Yadav remarked that the FSFN voiced its support for left alliance keeping in mind the absence of political stability faced by Nepal in previous years due to changes in government.

Yadav further clarified that the party has backed up the left alliance government for maintaining political stability and to register Nepal in the list of prosperous and developed countries.

“Mordernisation of agricultural sector, proper management of industrial sector, creation of employment opportunities and transformation in the education sector will ensure Nepal’s enrollment in the list of developed countries within few years,” Yadav said, “We have supported left alliance as per the public mandate as we don’t want to see Nepal being ridiculed as an unsuccessful country.”

Moreover, Yadav informed that talks were ongoing on FSFN joining the government. However, FSFN would join the government after amendment of the Constitution, Yadav said.
