Gorkha earthquake's ML-4 aftershock hits Nuwakot

KATHMANDU: A light tremor was felt in Nuwakot district of central Nepal on Monday morning, which the National Seismological Centre listed as yet another aftershock of the 2015 Gorkha earthquake.

According to the NSC, the tremor measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale was felt at 10:03 pm today with its epicentre (27.87ºN and 85.30ºE) between Bhadratar and Thansingh of Nuwakot district, on the northern side of Kathmandu.

Earlier, on October 15, the NSC had recorded a tremor of magnitude-4.0 with its epicentre in Thulogaun of Rasuwa district.

The NSC has so far alerted members of the public about more than 470 significant aftershocks since the devastating quake on April 25, 2015.
