Government offices benefit from wind power in Nisdi

RAMPUR, PALPA: Works at government offices has become easier in Nisdi Rural Municipality in Palpa with the generation of power from wind energy.

Wind power project has been set up at Mityal of Nisdi Rural Municipality with support from PIDA Kathmandu Nepal, the Kathmandu Alternative Power Energy Group and a Greek social organisation.

The power generated from this project is supplied to the Nisdi Rural Municipality, Ward number 4 Office and to the Mityal Health Post. The project has the capacity to generate 1200 watts power.

With this the Ward Office and the health post are able to carry out their day-to-day services easily. This has also made the works of these two bodies effective.

The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre, Nepal also plans to set up a wind power station in Mityal in the near future to supply electricity to all the government and non-government organisation offices at Jhyaltuk, Maulathar, Ghumsibar and Mityal Bazaar along with Rukse Bhanjyang in Nisdi rural municipality.
