Govt cautions India

KATHMANDU: Nepal has cautioned India that incidents like the one in Kechna, Jhapa, where 13 personnel of Sashastra Seema Bal of India, some of them carrying weapons, entered Nepali on Sunday, should not be repeated.

Expressing concern about the incident, Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu in this regard.

“While expressing serious concerns about the entry of SSB personnel into Nepal, along with weapons, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the Indian authorities, through the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, to ensure that such incidents do not recur,” the ministry mentioned in a statement.
