Govt should give priority to constitution amendment: Yadav

BIRATNAGAR: Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav said that the incumbent government should give top priority to Madhes issues.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Tuesday morning, Yadav complained that the government has not yet shown any interest in constitution amendment and has been making delay in implementing the three-point deal.

He said, "Major political parties should stand together to make the constitution acceptable to all by addressing the issues of Madhes.”

β€œIt would not be enough only by registering the constitution amendment proposal in the Parliament,” he added.

Asking not to connect the Prime Minister's India visit with constitution amendment, he clarified that constitution amendment was the internal matter of the country.
