Govt responds to SC, claims DIG Silwal's 'evidence' forged

KATHMANDU: Claiming the document that DIG Nawaraj Silwal presented before the apex court as an evidence was forged, the government on Friday has submitted a written clarification to the Supreme Court on Silwal's performance evaluation.

In the letter, the government claimed that DIG Silwal presented the falsified evaluation of his job performance to the court while filing a writ petition against the appointment of new IGP on April 11, the Rastriya Samachar Samitir reported.

The Nepal's Police Forensic Science Laboratory report has stated that the job performance evaluation form presented by Silwal along with the writ was forged.

In a writ petition DIG Silwal filed at the apex court, he claimed that he had scored more marks than that of DIG Aryal in the performance evaluation. The SC is to conduct a hearing on the reply submitted by the government through a full bench on coming May 2.
