Indian support for schools, campuses

India has extended financial support of Rs 86.07 million for construction of school building for Shree BhuPu Sainik Community Academy, Bayarghari and construction of campus building for Tribhuvan Adarsha Multiple Campus, Putalibazar in Syangja.

Embassy of India, Kathmandu, signed two separate MoUs with District Development Committee, Syangja; and Shree BhuPu Sainik Community Academy, Bayarghari; and Shree Tribhuvan Adarsha Multiple Campus, Putalibazar for construction of two school/campus buildings as part of India–Nepal Cooperation Programme of the Government of India, according to the Indian Embassy.

The BhuPu Sainik Community Academy was established in 2003 and is currently being run in a rented building. The new infrastructure being constructed with Indian assistance of Rs 41.92 million will provide a much needed building for students and teachers, according to the embassy.

Similarly, India has pledged assistance of Rs 44.15 million for the campus building of Shree Tribhuvan Adarsha Multiple Campus, which was set up in 1980, and is currently being operated from a rented building.

The embassy hopes he new campus will provide suitable classroom space and create an improved environment for learning and contribute to the development of education in the district by meeting the needs of a larger number of students.
