Indian teen studying MBBS found dead at Kathmandu Medical College

KATHMANDU: An 18-year-old boy was found dead at the Kathmandu Medical College premises in Duwakot of Bhaktapur district on Saturday.

Nepal Police said the body of Anamol Gaul, who hailed from Jammu Kashmir of India, was found hanging at the college.

He was an MBBS student at the medical college, according to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian died after being hit by a van along the Araniko Highway in Lokanthali of Bhaktapur on Friday night.

The 39-year-old Prem Krishna Maharjan from Madhyapur Thimi-16 of the district was hit by the vehicle (Ba 8 Cha 8830).

Seriously injured in the incident, Maharjan was rushed to the nearby Madhyapur Hospital, where he breathed his last during treatment, Police Inspector Rewati Pokharel told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

In another case, 24-year-old Ashish Magar from Dadhikot, Anantalingeshwor-5 of Bhaktapur was found dead today.

All the bodies have been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for the autopsy.
