KATHMANDU: An Indian truck driver succumbed to his injuries he sustained in truck collision at Chaubismile, along the Siddhartha Highway in Tinau Rural Municipality-5, of Palpa district on Sunday.

Police identified the deceased as 60-year-old truck driver Sarbajit Yadav of India.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Butwal-based Lumbini Zonal Hospital this morning.

Police said the truck (Lu 2 Kha 1451) heading to Syanja district from Bhairahawa collided head-on with an Indian truck heading on opposite direction at Chaubismile.

Meanwhile, both the trucks have been impounded and other driver detained at the Dovan-based Police Office for further investigation, informed police.
