Indo-Nepal border security meeting in Biratnagar

MORANG: The Nepal-India Border Security Meeting regarding the border security and problems in the no man's land has begun in Biratnagar today.

Discussions regarding ending encroachment of no man's land would be held, it is learnt.

Chief District Officers, police chiefs and chiefs of Armed Police Force border security offices in Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa districts from Nepal are participating in the meeting while district chiefs and security officers of Arariya, Kisangunj and Supaul districts from India are present.

Chief District Officer of Morang, Ganesh Raj Karki, said that representatives of the Survey Department of both countries are also in the meeting.

Karki said that discussions would be held between the officers of both countries about the border pillars.

He said that a conclusion would be drawn about repair and maintenance as well as reconstruction of old and dilapidated pillars.
