Japanese nat'l provides Rs 1mln to Mechi AMDA Hospital

KAKADVITTA: A Japanese national has provided financial assistance worth Rs 1 million to Mechi Association of Medical Doctors of Asia (AMDA) Hospital on Thursday.

Shigeru Suganami, who is also the Founder Chairperson of the International AMDA, Japan, handed over a cheque bearing the amount to the newly elected Chair of Mechinagar Municipality, also the Chairperson of the Hospital, Bimal Acharya amid a programme held at the Hospital.

The 15-bedded hospital, aided by Japanese government, has been operative since 2008 in financial assistance from the Mechinagar Municipality, Mechi Chamber and Commerce Association and AMDA Nepal.

There are three MBBS doctors and 25 staff in the Hospital rendering healthcare services to the patients.

The financial aid will be utilised to upgrade the healthcare service in the Hospital, shared Hospital Chief Acharya.
