DHANGADHI: At least 23 people are injured in a bus accident in Kanchanpur on Thursday.

Two buses (Na 4 Kha 4092 and Na 3 Kha 1409) coming from the same direction plying along the Mahendranagar-Attariya road section collided while the first tried to overtake the bus, said police.

The accident occurred at Arjani near an army barrack along the Jharali-Dhaili road section under the East-West Highway.

Lal Bahadur Bam, Inspector of Mahendranagar VDC, informed that 17 injured passengers are receiving treatment at Mahakali Zonal Hospital whereas six critically injured passengers were referred to Haldani of India for further treatment.
