Condemning the incident, the Deputy Prime Minister said the government had already clarified its opinion about the incident.

He informed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval telephoned PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal today and expressed Modi's sadness over the incident.

Speaking in a different context, Nidhi said security personnel were forced to open fire during the United Democratic Madhesi Front's demonstration in Saptari district on Monday so as to reduce the loss of lives.
