Landslide obstructs Narayangadh-Muglin road section

CHITWAN: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section has once again been obstructed due to a landslide triggered by torrential rainfall at Tope Khola in Chitwan district on Saturday.

Though a small landslide had occurred at the same place at around 10 pm yesterday, the debris was cleared immediately and one-way traffic was resumed, according to engineer Shiva Khanal of the Narayangadh-Muglin Road Project.

However, a massive landslide at the same place this morning has obstructed the vehicular movement in the area.

Khanal hinted that the landslide debris would be cleared by 2 pm.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement along the Hetauda-Kulekhani road section has also been disrupted due to landslides at Sisneri-4 and Sukaura.

The road section was obstructed since Friday due to two landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.

According to the District Police office, Makawanpur, vehicles heading towards Kathmandu from Hetauda are now using the Tribhuvan Highway after the obstruction.
