Lawmaker Jip Tshering Lama hands over ambulances to local levels

Dolakha, December 9

Lawmaker Jip Tshering Lama from Nepali Congress handed over five ambulances to the local levels of Dolakha today.

Organising a programme in Kathmandu, lawmaker Lama handed over the vehicles to the concerned local representatives through Tengima-Dado Lama Memorial Institution. The Tengima-Dado Lama Memorial Institution was established in the name of Lama’s parents. Lama handed over one ambulance each to Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-3, Melung Rural Municipality-6, Bigu Rural Municipality, Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-9 and Jiri Municipality-1. Lama said he offered the vehicles to the local levels as many people died without treatment  owing to the lack of ambulances.

He urged the local representatives to provide ambulance service without any discrimination. He said he had bought the ambulances with the salary and allowances he earned after being elected a lawmaker. Lama had also offered an ambulance to Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-8 last year.

Nepali Congress vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi, lawmaker Parbat Gurung, and Shanti Prakhin were also present at the programme.
