Light tremor of ML 4.0 jolts Dolakha

KATHMANDU: The National Seismological Centre has recorded 4.0 magnitude aftershock of Gorkha earthquake in Dolakha district on Monday morning.

The aftershock with the epicentre near Goswara Dadhuwa in the district at the coordinates 27.56 °N and 85.96 °E  jolted at 10:29 am, according to NSC.

The tremor was also felt in nearby districts.

The last aftershock was recorded at 7:43 am on July 2 with its epicentre in Okhaldhunga.

Gorkha earthquake is followed by 484 numbers of aftershocks with local magnitude greater than or equal to 4 until 24 July 2017.

At least 8,709 people lost their lives while more than 22, 490 sustained injuries in the Gorkha earthquake that occurred on April 25, 2015.
