MAHOTTARI: A woman was found dead at her house in Samsi VDC of Mahottari district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Nasreen Khatun (25) of Samsi VDC-1, informed the Mahottari District Police Office (DPO).

According to DSP Deepak Pokharel of the DPO, Khatun was found hanging from the ceiling.

Khatun's husband, Shesh Istiya, is currently abroad in course of work.

Locals said Khatun, who had been living with her in-laws and two sons, seemed to be leading a happy life.

Her body has been sent to the District Hospital in Jaleshwor for postmortem.

Police are investigating further into the case.
