Main opposition CPN-UML to foil amendment bill

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary party meeting of the main opposition CPN-UML on Sunday has directed its lawmakers to foil the constitution amendment bill registered by the ruling parties in the parliament.

The meeting has concluded that the bill was against the public aspiration and national interest.

The meeting chaired by the party chair and PP leader K P Sharma Oli concluded that the bill was irrelevant as it was forwarded while the constitution was under implementation and local polls already announced.

The Parliamentary Party deputy leader Subas Chandra Nembang said that it was quite surprising that the government again registered the constitution amendment bill on Saturday.
