As vote counting for the third round of local level polls held yesterday in Province 2 continues, candidates of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Centre Federal Socialist Forum and Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal have emerged victorious in different wards of Siraha district.

CPN-MC ward chairperson candidates at Karjanha Municipality Wards No 1 and 3 have won the election. The CPN-MC panel led by Mohan KC won the election in Ward No 1 while Kapaleshwor Yadav won the election at Ward No 3 of the municipality. However, CPN-UML candidates won the remaining positions including deputy chairperson at the ward, as per the Returning Officer Subarnaman Banepali.

CPN-MC candidate Gafar Miya’s panel won all the positions in Ward No 1 of Arnama Rural Municipality while Nepali Congress’ Siya Ram Yadav-led panel won all the positions in Ward No 2 of Lahan Municipality, according to District Election Office, Siraha.

Similarly, Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal candidates Badri Narayan Yadav and Suratlal Yadav’s panel emerged victorious in Ward No 1 of Bhagawanpur Rural Municipality and Ward No 1 of Aurahi Rural Municipality respectively.

Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal candidates Jaya Ram Kamati and Bindeshwor Mukhiya have been elected chairpersons in Wards No 1 and 2 of Kalyanpur Municipality respectively.

CPN-UML candidate Surya Narayan Mahato has been elected chairperson at Dhangadimai Municipality Ward No 1.

“Ballot counting in all the counting centres of the district has been going smoothly and peacefully,” said Chief District Officer Sri Krishna Shrestha.

Nepali Congress panel led by Bibhu Sah Baniya has been elected in Ward No 1 of Isanath Municipality of Rautahat. Similarly, NC candidate Shesh Mahammad has been elected Chairperson of Ward No 1 of Paruhawa Municipality while CPN-MC’s Ejjajur Rahaman’s panel has been elected in Ward No 2 of the municipality.

NC candidate Shekh Najir Hussein has emerged victorious in Ward No 9 of Brindaban Municipality.

CPN-MC Sanjaya Sah’s panel has been elected in Ward No 1 of Fatuwa Bijayapur Municipality of the district.

Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal’s Shekh Narullah-led panel has been elected in Ward No 1 of Devahi Gonahi Municipality of Rautahat.

Similarly, the CPN-UML panel led by Narayan Kumar Acharya has won Ward No 1 of Saptakoshi Municipality of Saptari. The CPN-UML’s Illiyas Dewan-led panel has been elected in Ward No 24 of Jitpur-Simara Sub-metropolis of Bara. Similarly, the UML panel led by Rajendra Patelhas been elected in Ward No 1 of Adarsh Otawal Rural Municipality of the district.

Likewise, NC’s Bharat Hamal has won the chairperson’s position in Ward No 14 of Bardibas Municipality of Mahottari.

In Dhanusha, the CPN-MC panel led by Kapil Dev Raut won Ward No 1 of Sabaila Municipality of the district.
