KHOTANG: Police arrested a man in possession of a loaded pistol in Khotang district on Saturday.

The suspect has been identified as Man Bahadur Rai (35) of Phedi-3 in the district.

Brandishing the pistol, Rai had threatened to kill Janta Rai, wife of Reb Dhan Rai of the same locality over a minor dispute on Tuesday, the District Police Office, Khotang informed.

Police said that they arrested Man Bahadur based on a complaint.

Preparations are underway to file a case against him under the Arms and Ammunition Act, said DSP Bidhya Nanda Majhi.
