Minister Rijal visits rehabilitation centre in Pokhara

POKHARA: Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal, today visited the rehabilitation centre established by the Tamu Dhi Nepal at Naya Bazaar in Pokhara for quake survivors.

The people of different VDCs in Kaski district, who were injured in Gorkha quake, are being provided medical care and treatment at the rehabilitation centre established with Tamu Dhi Nepal's initiative.

A total 900 people were treated at the centre so far and 73 children, lactating mothers and elderly people are now residing in the centre.

On the occasion, Minister Rijal lauded the Tamu Dhi Nepal's support to the quake survivors. Expressing gratitude towards their support, the Communications Minister assured of lending support to every activity of Tamu Dhi Nepal.

He said that government is always support of the rehabilitation and reconstruction activities for the quake survivors and expressed that the government has been taking initiatives to shift the quake survivors of worst quake-hit areas to safer places.

The programme was chaired by Tamu Dhi Nepal chairman Karma Tamu.
